About the Role:
CARL F HYDER M D P C in Medford, NJ is looking for a friendly and organized Medical Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our practice. This is a great opportunity to join a dedicated medical team where your attention to detail and patient-first attitude will make a real difference every day.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and check in patients in a warm, professional manner
• Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using medical scheduling software
• Answer and direct incoming phone calls, take messages, and respond to patient inquiries
• Verify patient insurance information and process co-pays and billing
• Maintain and update accurate patient records and electronic health records (EHR)
• Coordinate referrals, authorizations, and communication between patients and clinical staff
• Ensure the front desk and waiting area remain organized and welcoming

Requirements:

• Prior experience as a medical receptionist or in a healthcare front desk role preferred
• Familiarity with EHR/EMR systems and medical scheduling software
• Knowledge of medical insurance verification and billing processes
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer skills
• High school diploma or equivalent required; medical office certification a plus
